She smiled in a fashion befitting a woman who once pissed off her father as well. It had been a long time ago when the words "But papa I love him!" flew from her mouth. Truth was, she hadn't really loved that boy. But it was a way out of her current situation. It put her out of favor with her family and in a few months she was on the street. But that was a long time ago and now she was here in Lighthaven. A kindred of prestige who could easily kill those who dared to pursue avenues of vengeance or perhaps grant those the vengeance they wanted. It all depended really and the payment always mattered as well. Some was money, others was blood, other were other things entirely.
She listened to rest of Maria's story. Who knew dragging her up to the VIP lounge would make her spill her guts. Perhaps she thought she might die up here and that was why she was being so open. Might be the last time she thought she'd get a chance to tell somebody. Had to get it off her chest apparently.
Yellow feline eyes looked over the line of pillows and she grinned at Maria. Eventually it would catch up with her, she was right. Steps could be taken to prevent her from being hurt.
"We could arrange to where that didn't happen. This town needs a Necromancer and one with a conscience wouldn't be a bad thing."
She sat up slowly and leaned on one hand while she tilted her head to the side. She sure knew how to look demure for a woman who was wearing and outfit fit run out and kill a few squads of armed SEALS.
"I'd just ask you to think about something over the next few weeks or so...is all. Don't even have to agree to it."

-To say that Maria was skeptical of what the kindred told her was to underscore the situation. Her cool silver eyes were careful; intent upon the woman in front of her. She didn't know of what use a necromancer could be to a city; but she'd been trying to keep her abilities hidden for so long; concentrating them without expelling it she had a lot of collective resources to work with. A person with inborn ability was rare; Kindred earned theirs with age after their death; what would happen if a necromancer were ghouled? What would happen if they were turned?- I do no see how I can be of help.
-There was an offer being eluded to without it being said. Maria felt the hair on the back of her neck stand on end for some reason. She didnt know if she liked the sound of all this; it was something which would change her fate no doubt by the way the kindred spoke of it-
I listen. She wanted to hear what Rose was offering her before she'd agree to anything of course; at least she said she had some time to think it over. Maria didnt want to jump into something hasty with a kindred. Jumping into bed was one thing; but what was this offer going to be?-

The girl was skeptical and that was a good sign. Rose was not of the mind to bring an overzealous fangbanger or one lacking common sense into her fold in any manner. What Maria didn't know is that her skepticism was well placed for the offer Rose had in mind was two and perhaps three-tier all depending on how one looked at the situation being put out before her.
"Well, let's discuss the importance of having a Necromancer in the city. Judging by that charm on your necklace, you've been doing your utmost best to conceal who or what you are. Understandably so in certain circumstances."
Rose reached into one of her vest pockets and pulled out what looked like a few red beans. Harmless, right? Must be considering she just popped them in her mouth and downed them with no ill happening to her. She steepled her fingers, still look over at Maria with intent. An intent that spoke volumes. She had plans for this woman. She represented a shift that could take place within newly accumulated powers that be. Lionel was Prince. He would make for a good Prince, but she needed insurance and she needed more than Alex. She also simply needed a friend. Why not kill two birds with one stone?
"However, a Necromancer given the right training, time to grow their power, and perhaps a little extra push...Could even affect us kindred or perhaps even challenge the Tremere or Tzimiscie on creating life. That is why they were killed so long ago. We Kindred feared your kind. I have a different idea in mind."
She fluidly rose to her feet like a panther just shrugging it shoulders, causing a beautiful cascade of form to lift it up. One might see why she was the leader of the Assamites with such predatory grace. And she forced herself to slowly walk over to Maria. It took effort because Maria's intoxicating aroma was begging her to fly over there and sink her teeth into her. She resisted and simply took a single lock of mahogany tress and wrapped it around her finger finger with caring smile.
"Such beautiful hair...Such beautiful eyes...As if you were made to be our bane."
She blinked a few times with yellow cat eyes and then let her hand fall away.
"Consider this offer two-tier if you will...Given protection, a place to live, and any other amenities plus power from...Allowing you to become my ghoul and in time if you wished...One of us. Both are enormous matters to think on so I do not expect an answer now by any means. After all, we have just met. However, think of what I could provide you. And of what you could provide me. It would be mutually beneficial and by no means would be mistreated by me or my Clan. But if such were to work, you would have to want it...I will not ghoul nor turn someone who does not feel something for me in some manner. That may be selfish, but I am old and allowed my vices..."

-Maria nodded that she had indeed been attempting to hide her power; but more so the draw which the supernatural had to her. Specifically kindred and shapeshifters were drawn to her. Of the shape shifters Bastet and Garou seemed to fall prey to it most.-
I was attack by kindred; attacked by Garou...Bastet. I have curse; a smell which draw them in. Without the fetish; it causes....what is word...frenzy when I am too close. The necklace is losing its power; last year when I first make it; no one could smell it at all. I do no have the items I need to make another.
-Borrowed time; it seemed like no matter what Maria did these days time was just running out for her. Maybe she'd always meant to have a short life. She'd hoped that she'd burn like a brilliant sun to dazzle the eyes of those lives he had touched in her years and be remembered. She seriously doubted that she had such an impact in time running from her family. No body would remember Maria de Luca when she passed and that was the hardest part.
Hearing that kindred and others feared her kind drew her to arch a brow. Really? She was pretty inept at keeping herself hidden let alone harming another. Raising the dead was rather easy for her; especially if she had some blood but she didnt have to have it. She was pretty certain that without the necklace around her neck she could do a small graveyard with just her power alone.
Maria was still as Rose moved in close to her; touching her hair and showing great restraint for a kindred. She understood that it was harder to resist the closer one got to her; the scent draws on whatever power the kindred use to control their hunger. She was intrigued with this flame haired woman; she was beautiful of course and as she was now so close to her she noticed it. Before she had simply been terrified of the intense looking kindred. Silver eyes travel over the kindred's features and Maria slowly begins to relax. She even moves to more comfortably sit on the pillows; drawing one leg up to hug against her chest.-
Your bane?
-A hint of a smile graces Maria's lips at last; amused with the kindred. Really Maria was just a saucy Italian among other Italians back home; guess she was out of the saturation area and considered exotic here. She listened to what Rose was really offering her; power protection and perhaps even immortality.
The idea had never occurred to Maria due to her fear of the kindred. Her eyes trail to the pillows as she lets it soak in. Her family couldnt touch her if she were kindred; they didnt even know that they existed; she could fake her death and let her family move on with their lives and she with hers. She wouldnt have to die as some meat popsicle for a kindred or garou.-
You are right it is lot to think.
-The mention of Maria having to feel something for her drew those mercurial depths to find the golden cat like ones-
I can make no promise there. The heart wants what the heart want. Maybe we ...spend time together; become friend. It is hard not to... fear you. Like I am being afraid you will bite me or hurt me all the time.
-Maria shrugged her narrow shoulders she was being frank with the kindred-
Get to know you; what you want from me as Ghoul...what all this mean ...spend time to get to know you and you know me an then we make decision together?
-Maria canted her head to the side with a smile-
This being sound ok?
-It was sort of hard to understand Maria at times; but she tried-

A curse. Oh yes, she imagined that was probably the best way to describe it. She didn't remember Necromancers smelling like that back before their supposed extinction. Perhaps it was a mark of their purge? Interesting though how it didn't affect just kindred. Garou and Bastest alike which meant most likely other creatures of mother Gaia. What about Fae she wondered? All things to be processed and thought out later. For the time being Maria was a unique case in all matters concerning the supernatural.
The scintillating smirk was an unexpected reprieve on Maria countenance. A twist of spice from her Italian heritage bringing her face alive. She could imagine that smirk turning into a open-mouthed smile with Rose's fangs sinking into her, both of them in naught but their birthday suits with the slick warm crimson trail escaping Rose's grasp in the heat of the moment and drawing hot line between their bodies.
She blinked, driving the image from her mind. She could feel the beast inside beat at its cage wanting a taste. Daydreaming would have to take a backseat from now on.
She bit her bottom lip, tasting her own cold flesh as well lip-ring metal as Maria spoke of making no promises. She didn't expect promises, but she needed some kind of connection to validate her ghouling or turning of Maria. And Maria was willing to try at the very first level of things. That was a start and a mighty good one at that.
Her bottom lips was set free as she smiled a curve of lips that reached up into her eyes, setting the yellow slits alight. Getting to know her...A thought she had not entertained in a long time. Alex was getting to know her for certain, but they hadn't started out that way. It was more of a forceful arrangement in the beginning.
Making the decision together...It sent butterflies in her dead thing she called a stomach. The way Maria said it made it sound so...domestic. One might suppose it was considering it was a relationship of sorts, something important to most kindred.
She reached out and brushed her fingernail tips along Maria's cheek briefly before retracting them as to not forget herself.
"That be sounding good..."
She said with a nod. She enjoyed Maria broken English. It was an endearing quality. It made her sound like some wise, tiny, old, green man. Just that she was taller, young, pale white and....sexy.
Oh by Shiva...
